Are fragrance oils and essentail oils the same???

can both be used on skin? Are fragrance oils and essentail oils the same???
Essential oils are pure, unless it is stated on the package that it includes a carrier oil. You need to follow the directions on the packet as they may or may not be suitable for direct skin use.

Who knows what is actually in those fragrance oils? They are certainly artificial, and don't have any of the theraputic benefits of essential oils. So they are a waste of money unless you just want a fake flowery smell in your house.

Basically, you get what you pay for. If you think about the amount of rose petals required to get even the tiniest drip of essential oil, you are going to understand that a vial retailed at $2.50 is not going to be the real thing. I recommend you buy from a pharmacist or specialist shop. Are fragrance oils and essentail oils the same???
NO! Do not use essential oils

directly on the skin!!!

Essential oils are highly

concentrated and need to be

cut with other oils you use as

a base. These can be used

for massage or poultice.

Essential oils in their original

state can be used in diffusers

or a few drops in boiling water

as steam. A few drops can

be used in a bath.

Different oils are used for

different purposes.

Fragrance oils are just that,

used for a pleasant oder.
You need to be very careful before using essential oils directly on the skin. Some will be ok, but most you would probably need to mix with a carrier oil or add just a few drops to the bath so as to dilute them, or use in a burner. You should check the label. If there's no information on the label, check with an aromatherapy site, or ask a specific question on here about the essential oil you are thinking about using.
Fragance Oils tend to be artificle where essential oils are obtain from the real plants.
