Essential oil vs fragrance oil?

what is the difference between essential oil and fragrance oil? can both be burned? which retail store carries these products?

Regarding a retail store...I don't know where you are geographically and can't tell what you can find where. Fragrance oils can likely be found at a craft store while pure essential oils may be found at a health food store.





An essential oil is extracted from plant material usually using steam distillation. Fragrance oils are synthetic. Essential oils should not be burned. fragrance oils are not recommended to burn in an oil burner because they will smoke. essential oils don't smoke when on an oil burner if they are pure essential oils.

Plus they have the pictures of each plant. You can google their name to find them online. they sell both fragrance and essential oils.
