How do you make fragrance oils for warmers/burners?

I've seen tons of places online selling fragrance oils that they apparently make themselves, but I can't seem to find any recipes anywhere. I'm just a do-it-myself kind of person and I think it could be a cool hobby. How do you make fragrance oils for warmers/burners?
oils used in warmers %26amp; burners are diluted essential oils. Essential oils can be extracted through distillation, but it takes a great deal of plant matter to do this. Petals from hundreds of roses for a few drops of oil, a million jasmine flowers for the same. there is a book called the complete book of essential oils %26amp; aromatherapy by Valerie Worwood, that details out the process

the book is available here:

it's very time consuming, and expensive, but it is possible. How do you make fragrance oils for warmers/burners?
Basically, To create oils for wearing and burning in a burner you first have to purchase the oils in an Absolute form. Meaning the oil is in its purist form without any neutral oils. These can be rather expensive and hard to find. the Key term for search is Absolute ';insert type of herb, tree, plant ect..here'; when you purchase fragrant oils you are usually buying a pre blend of the absolute and another oil such as grapeseed, jojoba, hemp, hazlenut, ect. usu. light bodied oils with a very little or no scent of its own. For example When you might buy Patchouli you are buying about 4-10 drops of pure Patchouli in in about 40-60 drops of the neutral oil. and paying for the final scent..Most Absolutes are Incredibly strong. I had a small vial of Absolute Pachouli, the vial was about 1/2 inch tall not much more than 30 drops and it lasted me 2 yrs. All that was needed was a dot on a finger tip and it was enough. Disperse the base with a few drops of Hemp/jojoba blend and the scent on my body lasted all day..

Anyhow for a burner oil blend your Absolutes with the neutral oil at a ratio of about 1-2 drops to 8-10 or more of neutral oil, the amount to blend varies by the intensuty of the oil. Add a small amount of water to the burner..adding more water as it disperses into the room. Its as simple as that. Mind you, as I said the Absolutes can be very expensive, the vial of Patchouli I mention was a good deal at $20 you would drop your jaw at the price of rose oil..its something like 100 petals to get a single drop and a vial would be worth over $50.

I personally enjoy the Scents of Patchouli, Myrrh, Frankinscense, and Amber they blend very well together. After you buy some basic scents you will need to experiment to find what you like.. There is a whole new world before you to find the ways of working with oils and blending..This is just a basic lesson..

Blessed Be.
