Does anybody know what type of oil is used in making fragrance oils for oil burners?

Initially I think you can assume NOT a petroleum based product; and likely not any Vegetable oil either.

The notion is obvious. Something that burns clean; with little or no residue; and something that has no smell of it's own to detract from any essential fragrances.Does anybody know what type of oil is used in making fragrance oils for oil burners?
